Beautiful Day

When I walked outside this morning I decided it was too beautiful a day to stay at home. I told Chris we should take Gray to the park and have a picnic! I called Danielle and Austin and asked them to come play with us and have a picnic. We had an absolute blast. The boys really play well together. Austin is still a little shy but once he got used to us, he had fun.
Daddy and Gray. Gray does not quite understand what "look at mommy and smile" is yet. But we are working on it!

The Swing. Once he gets in he refuses to get out. I remember the first time I put Gray in this swing. He was terrified and cried to get out. I wonder what changed?

He has really come along way since Danielle and Marc first brought him home. He is a pleasure to be around and really smart. He is 3 and calls Gray "Baby Gray"...which is kinda funny because they are the same size! Thank you Danielle and Austin for joining our park/picnic day. It would not have been as fun without you! We love you!

A week of fun

There really is no order to these, In the last week we have had lots of fun. Here is my beautiful Grandmaw and Graysons "GG". Grayson loves his GG. We were visiting for Aunt Sherrie's surprise birthday party and also attended one of Matthew's football games. It was really fun getting to see him play. His team did lose sadly but the team tried their best.
Gray helped himself to some Jello from the fridge and Matthew decided he wanted to help him eat it. This was super cute. Matthew really loves Gray and Gray loves him too. Gray thinks Matthew is really funny.

AHHH..... Mashed taters right from the beater. YUMMY! Nanene gave him those. He licked them clean!

Another fun bathroom picture... I was playing with Grays alphabet letters...hence his name on the wall. The stuff in question on his head is bath soap foam. He totally loves it.

And last week I had the privilege of keeping Maddie for the day. Chris needed Ryans help so... I got to babysit. She is almost three months old. She is really starting to smile on her own and she is the best baby. As long as you keep her belly full.....I wonder where she gets that from? LOL.

Waterville, Gulf Shores, AL

We were invited to spend the day at Waterville USA in Gulf Shores with Nanene, Uncle Boo, Ashley and Matthew. Every year the Marriott Grand hosts an employee appreciation day at Waterville. All the employees and family gets in for free. There was fabulous BBQ, lots of games, music and full use of the park. The entire park was closed, except for all the employees and their families. It was super fun. A fantastic way to end the summer. Thank you Nanene for inviting us. We had a great day!

This was part of the children's part of the park, There were two. Super cool. This put our little splash park to shame! Catch me Uncle Boo!
Uhhh... Nanene..... Its Raining!!!` Run!!!!!This was the best part....let me explain. There is a huge bucket that fills and spills every couple of minutes. Gray was climbing the structure with Nanene, trying to slide. He got caught in this deluge, it knocked him down and scared him a little. Every time that bucket poured, Gray would run. He kept his eye on that thing!
I got a little free time of my own and got to ride one of the slides with Ashley. I guess it has been since Michael and I were little that I have been to Waterville. They now have two and three people rafts. It was really fun. Ashley and I rode down together. We also had a go on the lazy river and the wave pool. Gray thought the waves were fun. Each up and down I would make a rise and fall noise and he would just giggle. All in all a fantastic day, great weather, even better company. Long drive home but so worth it. P.S.--Gray was asleep in the car in two minutes flat!

Water Rush Quarry

I found it! Mom and I went to Toys-R-Us today and I finally found Gray's Big gift from Mama and Daddy. Now all I need is 100 pounds of sand! Its much bigger than the picture lets on. We are still on the hunt for a TV for him, but I want the old style not the new LCD screen. He still gets too excited and touches the screen too much. Anybody got an old one they want to sell? 19in or smaller would be perfect. Birthday party number "2" in two weeks! YAY!

Newton County

We had a wonderful, very exciting visit to our family farm in Newton county. Gray put loads of miles on his tractor. We had to charge the battery every night! Here is PopB and Gray swinging on the back porch.

We drove up to Turkey Creek for some swimming and some fishing fun. Gray didn't really like the swimming too much, it was really shallow and kinda dirty. So, I lounged on a towel, reading, while the boys tried to catch a fish. They brought a brim pole and Gray borrowed Taylor Reece pole, since I forgot his. They had a blast. I love this picture. Three generations...fishin with worms. Gray was the only one to catch a fish, with Daddy's help of course. He was so excited.

Gray wanted to kiss it. Imagine that. My sweet lovin little monster... GROSS!

And this was my exciting find at Wal-mart.... Mossy Oak Camo Overalls....jus like his Daddy's. I had Gray to try them on to see if they would fit in the store. He would not take them off. I am going to have his pictures made in it. I am super excited, just wanted to share! These are a 4T for anybody wondering! The legs a alittle long, so Grammy is going to hem them for us. Now, if I could just find him some boots!

Our trip was wonderful...except for the red wasp that stung me. That was the worst pain I have felt in a long time. A little bit of PopB's tobacco got the stinger out and Bactine killed the burning. We rode the four-wheeler and Gray saw some cows for the first time. There were some dairy cows jus up the road from the house. We drove around so he could see them. The best part was when Gray moo'd at the cows and they moo'd back. He laughed and laughed. Vacations are nice but I am glad to be back home.

Sweet Dreams

On Monday afternoon I broke down and changed Gray's infant bed to a toddler bed. It almost broke my heart until I saw how much he enjoyed it. He can climb in and out freely and jump in it of course..cause that's the funnest part. Anyhow....the transition went way more smoothly than I had ever expected. He climbs right in and goes right to sleep. I have not had to go back and tell him to get back in bed once. He also has grown attached to this "Melmo"...mom brought it to him from Birmingham, along with a book that makes sounds. He loves blankets too. The more the better...After he's asleep I have to go in and remove at least one because he his a little hot box and is sweating like a pig.

Now....If only potty training was this easy....The first day, he did great! Pee-Peed on the potty all day. The second day...no way in hell. Was not having it. Third day...sat on the toilet, but nothing. Ah well. Rome wasn't built in a day. I will not give up....Yet. I still have a few tricks up my sleeve! Mommy will win this battle!!!!!
